I've researched a lot about my personal NAS storage options and it has always led to Western Digital products. I'm not in IT and I don't need the advanced features that most NAS storage products offer, and I don't want to build my own with diskless options. However, I desperately needed to get rid of the need to constantly plug an external drive into my devices. My Cloud EX2 Ultra is ideal in that it meets the basic requirement for wireless when backing up data. and provide the ability to stream and share data between devices. Installation was easy and it took some time to get used to the terminology and features of the software. As most reviews have pointed out, the user interface is nothing special, but that was the least of my issues as I just needed to see how much is stored, where it's stored, who has access, and what the health of the hard drives is in general. It was a great investment and I am very happy with my purchase, also this product is perfect for beginners and not advanced as it seems to be missing some logic features. Finally, I didn't experience any buffering issues, not sure if others have bandwidth issues, but there was no degradation when streaming 1080p video.
