I was concerned because many people have pointed out that the docking station is large but only slightly larger than a regular echo tube. I plugged my echo dot in and turned it on, nothing and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't connect. I went through the instructions again and you need to hold down the power button for 3 seconds for it to work. The system works great. I wanted it in the bathroom to protect my echo point from steam or wet. Ideal.
