The Toshiba PA3761U-1DV2 Portable/Slim USB SuperMulti DVD Writer is exactly what I was looking for. I've tried another portable CD/DVD drive before and found it to be made out of cheap plastic and had to send it back. There is a certain weight to this drive, which proves that it is a quality construction. Installation was easy. I connected the drive to two USB ports and my Windows XP Home Mini netbook recognized it automatically. I inserted the installation CD. I've been patiently waiting for Adobe Acrobat and Burn. Now to install. Then I started installing WinDVD to play the DVD. Once the serial number entry page appeared, I opened the drive and entered the serial number listed on the front of the installation CD. Reconnect the drive and click Next. Installation took a while, but I had no errors or complications. I quickly tested the disc and turned on the film. It fired directly and the image was sharp and bright with no skipping or buffering. Excellent quality and highly recommended.
