As far as price goes, these were a bargain. I guess I should have expected there to be some issues with quality at that price, but I never thought it would be so quick to show. All I did was wash the utensils before putting them in my utensil drawer for actual use. The beautiful black silicone is now a dark grey. And these were HAND WASHED because I don't own a dishwasher. Original Dawn detergent and the water was not that hot as I have small children and keep the temperature on the water heater lower than I probably should. Plus, when I did put them away, brown water leaked from the whisk. It is already rusted and the silicone is sliding up and down on the wires, exposing said rust. I haven't really tested the heat sensitivity in cooking, yet, so fingers crossed I didn't just completely waste my money!** Update **After several uses, the silicone is meh. But the faded look has gone away, so there's that. I've used the spatula maybe three times. picture says it all.
