They are designed for tough use, are very durable and look good. They hold 9 ounces as advertised, actually just below the rim which is nice. Most mugs only hold the advertised amount if you fill them all the way to the top, which is inconvenient. For those who have complained about the caps shorting out, I doubt that was actually the case. Some of the lids were pressed together so tightly that you didn't realize they were actually two lids. If you take a closer look at the lids, which seem to be thicker than the others, you will most likely realize that these are two lids that can be separated quite easily. I only had an issue with a couple of lids refusing to snap onto the mug. I would definitely use them again.
