The sandblasting booth is a great tool when you need to remove rust or paint from metal, but I don't have the space or the effort to justify purchasing it. Such an inexpensive weapon is ideal for casual use. I was hesitant given the low price but this pistol seems to work well. With my little hot dog compressor, I was able to get enough duty cycle to rust out an old ax I'm restoring without too much trouble. It would be better to increase the airflow, especially for big jobs, but it was enough for my needs. Throw in a bag of regular sand from your local big box store and you're good to go. The quality isn't bad for the price, and the plastic gun and funnel are made from a flexible resin that easily withstands minor disturbances. . The start valve runs clean, I had no sticking and the whole thing works better than it should for so little money. I don't expect this to last forever but my home shop should hold up just fine. for some time.
