Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Enhanced Detection and Flexibility with Extech EZ40 EzFlex Combustible Gas Detector by Marcus Loeffler

Call Me Risky Johnny Dangerous!

Some 3/8 inch copper LPG pipes need to be made. I've never flared copper tubing before. What can go wrong? There is no room for error when flaring gas fittings. So I practiced flaring the replacement copper pipes until I felt confident enough in my job to make the gas lines. The gas lines "looked" fine. Now there is a problem. One of the flare fittings went into a hard-to-reach location where it was not possible to do a thorough joint leak test. As a newbie to this torch, I had to test this connection for leaks! What should I do? I found the Extech Detector on Revain and felt it was the right tool for the job. The detector arrived a few days after ordering. Of course I tested the detector on LPG to make sure it worked. Extech is VERY sensitive After playing around with the f or detector for a while I was confident that if there was a gas leak on one of my torch connections this detector would find the leak - no questions asked - absolutely. hit the gas and you know what? No leaks! Paid a hundred dollars for the detector. If someone would build me gas lines, it would cost at least $60. So I got the meter for about $40. I've been using Extech multimeters for over 10 years with no problems. With care, this detector will last for many years. Very happy with the purchase.
