I don't know why it took me so long to figure out that repairing the hydraulic tailgate would be an easy DIY job. After having to warn the guy who was washing my car to be careful because the trunk lid could cause brain damage, I finally ordered this part for my 2008 Sienna. After finding an installation video on YouTube, my husband lifted the tailgate while I quickly installed the new hydraulics. Easy as pie and what a relief to have it done!
