Review on 🔧 Piston Ring Compressor KIT69: Efficient Tool for Easy Piston Maintenance by Dan Weeman

I bought this product to assemble an engine I'm working on for a client. I struggled with this tool as it was too thick to properly compress the wear rings. I finally got the piston and looked inside the cylinder only to notice a large dent in the piston skirt. After inspecting the gauge ring, I could see a small burr on the ring that caused the gauge to land on the piston skirt. Now I need to buy a new plunger and leave it overnight to complete a project for my client. In the meantime I bought another tool for 1/4 the cost and was able to install another undamaged piston in minutes with no damage. When you buy this product, please check the quality of the inner surface very carefully for defects. In addition, this is a very complex tool, it is inconvenient, and the pliers get stuck in the ring, which makes it very difficult to use.
