Oil based pencil for a budget but not 'premium'

Box of 72 Tyoner wax or oil based pencils and presented in a beautiful sturdy metal box including a sample paper with a color sample of a fancy one Beetle's also has a picture on the top of the box, 3 pen compartments and a color chart in the lid. But how do they compare to premium pens (which are listed on the box) like Prismacolor or Faber-Castell Polychromos? I have some Prismacolor so I tested Tyoner against them. Stylus Unlike Prismacolor, the Tyoner stylus is a rounded triangular cross-section stylus with an open end (no dipped end covering the core). So similar to Prismacolor, except for the bright edges, which don't bother me at all. The pencil has a color name (in this case I used Clove T49 and Deep Lake Blue T25 and compared to Prismacolor Copenhagen Blue PC906 and Process Red PC994 (my set is old, colors may have changed stock number and names). All pencils have color It there are a lot of yellows and pinks and blues so if you are looking for some nice bright colors especially for coloring books they are really very pretty there are skin tones three shades of gray lots of ocher brick red and browns but also bright greens and yellows , Pink, orange, blue and turquoise predominate and this favors the coloring as well as landscape portraits as the palette of skin tones is superb ) and less dense. are washed with water, which is not to be expected with wax or oil pencils (Arteza). I tested Prismacolor against Tyoner. Tyoners were almost like watercolor pencils, but they weren't. They are marketed as high ARTISTIC QUALITY silky smooth colored pencils rather than watercolor pencils. Mixing Oil or wax based sticks should be mixed; While you generally want a large number of hues since blending creates an overlay other than a single color, blending is often required to blend colors and transitions into shades. Tyoner doesn't mix well. because I pressed harder to apply the paint. Prismacolor comes off smoothly but leaves about 50% color. To erase them you usually have to use an electric eraser, which sounds pretty lazy, but actually an electric eraser follows the erasing movements well to remove color in a more controlled way and in smaller areas. So none of them wash up well as expected, but Tyoner's toughness leaves its mark. A resume is NOT a quality artist, another mile across the country. But the set is BEAUTIFUL at a good price with beautiful trays with beautiful flowers in a wide range of colours. Any student or child would have adored her (I would have always loved her as a kid, my parents mostly bought us toys like art supplies, dolls and battery operated knick knacks weren't for that). For hobby painters, students, children. (Unfortunately) does not replace more expensive pens such as Prismacolor, Faber-Castell Polychromos and Caran D'Ache.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Some bugs

So many beautiful colors and perfect thickness that the end points don't break when using them.
