Review on ๐Ÿก Rockever Outdoor Cat Shelter: Rainproof Outside Kitty House with Escape Door - Protecting Your Feline Friend by Angela Mason

Poor quality overall

I bought this shelter for a cat that lives on the street near my house. I wanted to provide secure protection from rain and other elements. I had several problems with this product. Despite the good packaging, a piece of wood paneling had broken off lengthways on one of the panels. I glued it before assembling and everything was fine. The supplied and specified screws for attaching the roof hood are too short, so I had to use other screws for this function. When I read the reviews for this shelter, someone pointed out that the roof could come off. After assembly, the roof cannot be dismantled. If I had known that, I would not have bought it. The plastic wings of the doors are also cut to length. I assumed it would be a solid piece of plastic (like a dog door panel) which I believe would better protect the interior from rain and wind. Finally, the board for the second floor is of poor quality. It slides forward easily, causing it to tip over easily when the weight is on the front platform that protrudes over the doorway. (And my cat is quite petite, so there's no extra weight on the platform.) As a result, the platform is now slightly deformed and tilted downwards, despite being only a week old and barely used. Overall I'm disappointed with this product but after it was assembled I didn't want to try to return it.
