I have always trained my cats on a harness. This harness is lightweight, allows free movement, and won't just slip off right off when properly adjusted. It needs to fit quite snugly, so that it will take a lot of effort for the cat to get out of it, yet still fit comfortably. My only complaint is that the top connector strap slips off very easily and I had to keep rethreading it to the neck and/or chest strap. To fix this, (see pic), I used hot glue at the junctions to keep it in place. Now I have no problem keeping it all lined up when putting it on my cat. I can always remove the hot glue and reposition when the cat grows larger. My cat is now 2 years old and weighs 9lbs. He just recently moved from a size small to size medium. I hope this helps someone out there:-)
