I wasn't sure if my old Accord's air conditioning had gone weak. Rarely happens (only fill up with R12 refrigerant twice in 15 years. Yes, 15 years. Amazing Honda quality). This little thermometer that goes into the center vent allows me to monitor the performance of the air conditioner and see if it's dropped. It has a nice feature that the "target" range from 38-42 degrees is highlighted in green. All you have to do is look at the sensor to see if it's in zone, or try to read a very small number on a small dial. My neighbor borrowed it to test and kept it for a week. He didn't want to give it back. For a small price, it's very economical to keep track of multiple vehicles to see if air conditioning service is needed.
