4 pieces ordered. None of them worked right out of the box. The other three had different temperatures. I compared the temperature of the air conditioner thermostat and found values of +22, +8 and -5 degrees when tripled. The analog dial is small and the gradation lines are very close together at 4 degrees each, making it difficult to get accurate readings. Best bought locally at the hardware store. A little more expensive, but I'm happy with it.

The problem with this product is that it is not calibrated. When I first used it, the lowest air conditioning reading in my car was 58 degrees. I happened to read another review that recommended placing the thermometer in a glass of ice water that should be 32 degrees and turning the nut at the bottom of the display to calibrate it to 32 degrees. This basically does what it's supposed to do. My particular unit was about 4 degrees warmer, which is pretty significant. I don't think they are properly calibrated from the factory. Fortunately, the solution is simple. Take a glass, fill it with ice and fill the ice with water. Insert a thermometer, stir and allow to equilibrate.
