First the chain broke. Twice. It then refused to sit down and licked enough to keep the toilet running and running. After ten attempts to fix it, my plumber neighbor checked it out. He showed us that a light bulb connected to it collects air and makes it levitate (%$#@!). Why they put this thing on a damper I don't understand. We removed the lightbulb and it worked for another two months. Then he didn't sit down anymore. The neighbor looked at him again and noticed that because the two lever assemblies were so far apart, he was able to move more than an inch from side to side, preventing him from sitting down. I threw it away and bought an American Standard replacement from the hardware store (which wasn't in Revain). Now it works fine.
