These are well made, 135° ground general purpose bits optimized for drilling in metal. The cut is pretty good and they are very sharp out of the box. I would rate the cut as 800 grit, meaning unpolished and a bit jagged. This means they don't have the longest leading edge life possible, but polished cutting edges are rarely seen on any drill bit other than the premium industrial drill bits you can find (and pay for) for CNC work. more). The material looks like M2 HSS. Grinding at the split point is precise, the split point is well centered. The flats on the shank make it suitable for use in a hand-tight chuck without risk of twisting under load. This obviously increases the likelihood of the bit breaking if you get caught on a nail or something, but I prefer the flats to avoid chewing the bit when turning in the chuck under heavy loads. The sharpening angle of 135° makes them suitable for drilling in metal. I don't think I would try them on anything harder than mild steel (use M42 cobalt bits on harder steels). They work great on wood, although maybe a bit slower than standard 118° bits, but not so much that you can see it in this soft material. The rubberized plastic base that bits slot into keeps them secure and provides compact storage. Don't let them bounce around in a bag or toolbox with hardened stationary nearby if you care about keeping the bits sharp. All in all, at €7 I would find it good value for money.
