Soft but static and difficult to clean
We live in a dry climate and found this rug to generate too much static electricity, especially when vacuumed. The air smells heavily of ozone after vacuuming and the carpet looks like tangled hair until you shake it again (beware of static electricity). It was also very difficult to vacuum up the crumbs because the shag is so long. This would be great in a home with no pets or children and in wetter climates. We ended up donating it a week later because there was too much sand and crumbs in the carpet to return.
