Review on 📀 Sony BDP-BX18/S185 Blu-ray Player - Enhanced Entertainment with HDMI Cable (Black) by Daryl Barton

The player fully meets my expectations. It plays Blu-ray discs and DVDs well with a good, clear picture, but streaming online shows is another matter. Long story short, the streaming options are poor during peak hours and it's not my ISP. My ISP's speed tests show over 30Mbps throughput at this point, but the content is constantly pausing to allow the player to rebuffer that content. From talking to others, it appears that Sony's main servers, which stream EVERYTHING, are severely overloaded, causing latency and degraded streaming. Sony has to give these players direct access to individual providers, but everything has to go through them so they can track views - presumably to increase their profits! SONY, CORRECT YOUR ERRORS!
