The ATOP locking system sets this tool reel apart from the rest. This allows a manufacturer to design a reel that includes everything needed in an emergency while keeping the reel small and easy to install. After adding a suspension seat post and a radar and taillight mount to my bike, I couldn't use a traditional saddlebag anymore. With this KOM reel I was able to fit a large tube (for 38mm), a CO2 cartridge, a multi tool, tire shovels and a few miscellaneous items and then reel them up and mount them to my C-pillar with the ATOP system. It's easy to remove, so if I need a rear shelf, I just toss the tool roll in a basket or trunk. This article does not change the rules of the game, but shows a small innovation compared to the traditional product.
