Worked well for the price but not when you need accurate temperature readings.
This is a digital thermometer, how hard is it to read? I was disappointed that it didn't really snap onto my pan like it should and wasn't very accurate. Due to the lack of precision, my caramel batches came out a little different each time, but they were good nonetheless. For the price it worked well. However, if you're doing something that requires accurate temperature readings, I'd spend the extra money to invest in a better product. I honestly didn't know any better.
