Update 28th November 2021 I think it's officially broken (after very little use). I'll try to post a photo of today's burnt toast at setting 2.5. I will not buy this brand again. I agree with reviews that say even low settings turn toast VERY brown. I've used this maybe 8-10 times, about every 5 days or so. I've only tried bread or frozen waffles. At level "3" the waffles are burned. The toast is also very dark at 3. And for toast, "2" is sometimes too light - hence the inconsistency. But. I don't bother returning it, mainly because other budget toasters have had similar reviews. It's "normal enough" for how seldom I use it. When I get to the point where we use it almost every day, I need a better toaster.
