I have a 2005 Subaru WRX It was fairly easy to install where there were a few steps like unplugging the wire for the O2 sensor around the heat shield, it was fun. I felt more power, but in 4th gear I had holes in my powerband, the check engine light came on. I later found out what the problem was, it was the O2 sensor. Changing the size, amount, and flow of the airflow throws out samples that throw the sensor out of control. Normally you burn a lean mixture, too much air and not enough fuel. I bought a Cobb CPU Remapper (AccessPORT) and reconfigured the computer and everything is working great now. The heat shield is a nice touch and cools the airflow. The filter itself can be easily removed for cleaning. It's on sale and pretty easy to install and you get what you check. If you have a turbo, you may need to turn on the processor.
