This product is stuck in the middle. When used with a 42-inch TV, it's too high in the air to comfortably watch from a couch, but it's not designed for use with a smaller, larger TV. However, this product is quite cheap. , and works fine. So my solution was to go to Home Depot (Lowe's wasn't the right diameter) and buy an $8 piece of pipe and $1 some black spray paint. Cut the tube to the exact length, drill a few mounting holes, paint and so customize the mount to the exact TV and space. I checked to see if a longer tube was available as an optional product but no joy.
