Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ CyberpowerPC Ultra Thin Monitor, IPS - Perfect for Xtreme Gaming by Eddie Menssoccer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very important. But a lot of wasted space!

Get your hands on this gaming PC for less than $1,000 (pre-tax). For the price, this is amazing value. Graphics card (EVGA with one fan and three slots), mobile phone (ASRock), case fan (Cooler Master) and processor (Intel i5 11th Gen) are worthwhile. Based on my own experiences and reviews, the quality of parts varies. My particular setup had a 600W Gold Aptevia PSU. I'm glad I thought ahead and bought the Asus Thor 850W Platinum. In my opinion 750w is the bare minimum of headroom these days, 850w will give you a lot more headroom, 1000w will protect you from the future unless you are up to date. The stock CPU cooler/fan for me was a combination of block style heatsink and deep cool fan. . Fur. Replaced it with a V5 tower cooler. 500GBSSD without additional storage? Bought a cheap WD 10TB gaming hard drive. 8GB T-Force DDR4 RAM? Dots for heat dissipation and red for visual appeal. But 8GB is below today's standards for gaming and overall performance. All of this is the icing on the cake. As an old fart used to tower and full-height expansion options, the biggest hurdle for me is the lack of expansion bays and proper full- and half-height drive options. Unlike other reviewers, I was lucky enough to be able to get splints for a full/mechanical hard drive. This is an attachable rail system from Cooler Master. and it does the job. But good luck with any aftermarket anti-vibration mounting kits. It just won't work. There's plenty of room to work with, but it's wasted like an "airflow chamber". There are no external bays as three front intake fans block them. Say goodbye to external optical drives, hot-swap bays, digital dashboards and everything else. Another odd choice is to place the PSU and any additional drives in the bottom bay. They cut off key components from the airflow in the main chamber. It's just an odd choice that seems to favor anesthetics. Due to an odd design choice, the transparent sidebar to the right of the control panel only has a 3/4 view, hurting the RGB potential. However, it was still the top choice for Revain and Newegg to use as the basis for a $1,000 upgrade. Too bad they haven't gone a few inches further and pushed that value proposition forward. We can blame the supply chain issues and the semiconductor situation, but I think in the end it's just a lazy attempt to improve margins. cheaper than building from scratch. The EVGA Nvidia 2060 6GB graphics card makes it a very attractive choice, so I'm not upset. I only wish CyberPower would go a little further because they have the potential to gain more market share. I mean try to get an Alienware with similar specs for a price close to this price. it just doesn't happen! For now I recommend this, but be aware that what you are getting may need to be replaced. Performance, storage, and cooling are definitely worth considering depending on your needs. Reinforcing a minor flaw: tiny motherboard, no real expansion options, super hot GPU, lots of wasted memory. I've added two CFM case/chassis fans and a GPU cooler, but that's still not enough. I'm not a fan of liquid cooling outside of advanced overclocking systems, so replacing the stock fans is best, although I'd say these are solid CoolerMaster units. PS My particular build was with an RTX 2060 Super, which is even more valuable. This GPU really works. Very satisfied, especially considering that many reviewers only received the basic version of the graphics card. UPDATE 11/13/22: I'd give this setup a 5/5 to be honest, but I'm very much in favor of the upgradeability. The lack of front expansion bays is typical today, but the biggest shame is that it looks like a full size ATX board would suffice, but they went with mATX with only one PCI slot available under the GPU. I get it: it's supposed to improve airflow, and most won't take advantage of the expansion options, but still. Goat. On the other hand, if you're hardcore and want to go overboard with water cooling, you should have a workspace. The quality of parts and configuration is more than adequate for a standard setup. I just didn't like my GPU getting so hot on ultra settings so I had to buy extra fans and even a basic GPU cooler. Better safe than sorry, I say. and this should protect me in the future if I ever want to use a better GPU. The 2060 Super works very well, it's just a shame they used a single fan setup. Coming back to Mobo I was impressed with the ASRock that came with it. It has loads of headers for adding fans, floppy drives, ARGB, USB and more. I would put this guy a little below my favorite mobile device brand these days, ASUS. So here is a summary of the highlights: PROS: * Mid-range gaming motherboard by ASRock * Nvidia RTX 2060 Super 6GB * Space for additional fans (2x or AIO) * Beautiful RGB lighting (Apevia controller and remote) with cool patterns* CoolMaster fans [ 4 total]* Ultra-quiet operation* Handles almost anything you throw at (assuming you're not engaged in hardcore multitasking). configuration) * Limited storage space (although the WD 500GB M2 drive works very well) * Plenty of free space in the case (can be considered good or bad) * Not very expandable Overall, this setup should suit most gaming needs and performance at a great price. There are small touches that I really appreciate, like the easy access to the front panel and the durable tempered glass side panel. It's just nice to turn on this bad boy and enjoy how quiet and humble he is. The performance was really amazing even though I upgraded a bit. You definitely need 16GB of RAM or better these days, IMHO. If you plan on using this purely for gaming and don't play a lot of different games, I think stock building will suit you very well. Very very happy with this purchase and I can say that CyberPower has really improved their game compared to what they did about 8 years ago. I'm definitely sticking with CyberPower and ASUS for the foreseeable future. These guys are the giants of the gaming industry these days if you ask me!
