The size that I purchased is the right size for my application. This filter is only slightly smaller (0.25-0.5 inch) in external dimensions than similar filters purchased in this size. The intake is ceiling mounted which means the filter has to be wedged with spacers to keep it from being sucked in, and then falls back onto the grate every time the aircon is turned on. The actual filter itself is good - comparable to similar products. The build quality is ok, the problem is that due to the dimensions, some tools are required in order not to hear a small "knock" every time the heating / air conditioning fan turned off.
