Review on OXO Angled Measuring Jigger Stainless by Chef Buntiloy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as good as other OXO products.

I've been a fan of OXO products since the first products, but this gauge just doesn't feel right to me. But to be as objective as possible, I'll first let you know the benefits: FIRST: Unlike a double-ended jigger, all of the measurement units are in a convenient steel "jar", SECOND: OXO has a single-sided spout, ideal for thicker liquids. Third, it is easier to clean than traditional jiggers. Now for the cons: FIRST: Despite being made of stainless steel, it looks and feels cheaper than other OXO products, most notably the excellent OXO Double Jigger, which I prefer for the superior construction and rubberized grip. Second: the marks appear faint and lack size or contrast, this is a problem in low light e.g. B. when setting a strip. THIRD: OXO Angled Jigger has another disadvantage compared to OXO Double Jigger; The final jigger is sized at both ends, including 1 1/2 times (jigger) and 1 ounce (bangs), with fill lines at or near the edges of the measure. This allows you to quickly measure and pour straight from the bottle to the glass where measuring less than 1 1/2 times with an OXO protractor is difficult, especially in low light where you can't read the markings, which is too slowing down the ease with which you prepare drinks. As such, I cannot recommend the OXO Angled Jigger unless it is a backup jigger. Instead, I heartily recommend the OXO Double Jigger, which is my favorite.
