Review on πŸ”Œ Cable Matters HDMI Extender Wall Mount (TCP/IP Support) for 1-to-Many Setup - Up to 300 Feet via Ethernet Cable by Doug Booth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

UPDATED: They are absolutely worth the money!

UPDATE 2/8/18: So the rating below remains true! It's been over a year since we implemented this solution and the installation continues to work 100% with no issues. I was so impressed with the product's performance and reliability that I recently decided to try it out at our conferences we hold on the go. So we host meetings all over the west coast, where we bring a lot of our own gear to install in the hotel's grand ballrooms. We bring our own TVs and projectors to share the image with visitors and viewers but rent cables from the hotel to connect everything which costs us a lot of money. So after this Cable Matters solution has proven to be reliable over the last year, combined with the fact that the last two hotels we have rented cable from used IDENTICAL installations, I decided to just run a couple of 100 foot CAT 6 cable to use. , network hub. , a transceiver kit and two additional receivers so we can stream videos/stills/presentations from the source PC via DA via a HDMI > CAT6 adapter to a hub and two projectors and a TV. So far I have only successfully set up and tested everything in our conference room in the office, but not yet on the go. We'll see, but I'm very optimistic. I also played videos on it and it was as smooth as silk. No stuttering and lags. At one point sound was even added (it goes to projectors and cheap TVs so don't expect great sound quality) and it works perfectly. Syncs with videos etc. Bottom line - pay money and buy them, you won't be disappointed. Customer service is great too. I emailed them a few questions about connecting through a network hub prior to purchase and they responded very quickly with all the details. ----- Original Review -------------------------- Bought as a fix for my boss' office. One of his offices has a 60 inch TV on the wall and his laptop/desk on the other end. There is a small conference table between the TV and his desk and he likes to use the TV to project spreadsheets etc from his laptop during meetings. We first tried a few different wireless USB and HDMI solutions with very mixed success. Ultimately, we determined that a wireless solution would be best, but by the time you run the cable through the wall, through the ceiling, down the wall, and also across the desk/dock, the HDMI cable is almost 50 feet long, which comes at a price for 50ft HDMI cables is $$$ and they can be spotty at that distance too so I thought I'd give it a shot and save some money and give these adapters a try. I'm glad we did! They're working great so far and I'm seriously considering buying more for some other uses in our office. I hope they last, only time will tell. But so far it's been about a month and they're still working perfectly.
