We locked our kayaks and left two boats in the water at the dock for two nights because we thought they were safe. We could easily see them from our rented apartment. On the second morning the castle fell into the water and went to the bottom! The cables were in good enough shape, and thank God the boats hadn't left them yet! I remember being paranoid, I didn't want to lock them well so my husband and I made sure it was done right and then we checked the lock and it was definitely secure. So yes, unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. And I need a new one now and this one has good reviews so it's tempting but ugh. 😕
