Very easy to use. in sport

I use this as a hold down lock on my motorcycle. In particular, I run cables through and around my travel bags...Say it takes someone even a minute to figure it out and by then I hope to see them! Of course, if you have a good pair of bolt cutters, you can cut that cable very quickly... But honestly, what do you want? If someone is really determined to steal what you have locked up, it is likely to happen. I love these locks.

Great for tying my kayak to the trailer!

I bought these to attach my kayaks to a trailer and deter thieves. While I know nothing is 100% efficient, these cables are very thick and very strong. So far they have coped well with the rain and heat in Florida. I have 3 of these locks so far and it's really nice that when you buy them in a pack they come with the same keys. This is very convenient, so you don't have to have keys for every lock, just one for all. As you can see in the photo I route the cable through the scupper hole andโ€ฆ

It might work on land, but when the kayaks are tethered in the water there is a risk.

We locked our kayaks and left two boats in the water at the dock for two nights because we thought they were safe. We could easily see them from our rented apartment. On the second morning the castle fell into the water and went to the bottom! The cables were in good enough shape, and thank God the boats hadn't left them yet! I remember being paranoid, I didn't want to lock them well so my husband and I made sure it was done right and then we checked the lock and it was definitely secure. Soโ€ฆ

smells awful but I would buy it again

This is the third Python cable lock I have bought. I bought this one because it's longer than the others I have. I run the cable through 2 drainage holes on the kayak to attach to the car. He's perfect for that. The problem is all the Python cables I've bought have a horrible chemical smell. Also, after handling the cable, the odor gets on your hands. The smell goes away with soap and water. Cleaning the cable does not help. My old Python locks still smell, but not as bad as when they were new.

Locks and cables correspond to those declared. were NOT with the same keys.

Locks and cables were sent in one lock bag per set (without original packaging). The lock is simply mounted on the cable. Each kit includes Velcro to keep cables tidy when not in use. The biggest disappointment was that the locks were NOT closed as advertised. This was one of the reasons for choosing this provider. Don't bother with the replacement as these cables weigh very little. In addition, I have other master locks including Python cable locks that I recently purchased from a localโ€ฆ
