After trying a few keyed safes I settled on this one. My car's key fob was too big to fit in any of the others, although some advertised space for 5 keys. In any case, the KeyGuard SL-591-CRV is large enough to even fit a small wallet. In addition to the space, another advantage is that you can freely choose the length of your station wagon. However, with a length of 5 or 6, you only get 462 separate combinations of 10 digits and the * character (the order of the characters doesn't matter, and any repeated characters shorten your combination with all those hole vaults). Not much, but until then, you also have to consider that not knowing the length of your combination also provides an added (albeit minor) reassurance. Another point to note is that the safe will "leakβ electronic signals. My car can be opened without using the key fob directly just by having it nearby. This also works when the key fob is locked in the vault. A simple workaround is to wrap the keychain in aluminum foil, which works for me. Overall it's not perfect, but it does what it says on the tin.
