This safe lasted about 5 months until the locking mechanism closed with my keys in it. The combinations no longer work and the trap remains locked. This is extremely inconvenient as I cannot use the car keys and there is no way to contact the seller about the warranty. Now I have to find a way to crack my own safe.

This safe is strong, well built and the rubber coating for weather protection is very well finished. The box itself is very convenient for renting a car, friends, etc. However, in my opinion, the lock code is not very secure, you can only use each digit once and the numbers you choose do not have to be entered consecutively. . But for what I need it for it will work, recommended!

I've been using it reliably for a while. Recently parked in the sun with temperatures in the 90's - the reset button didn't work. Works great at room temperature. Reading other reviews it looks like it has a similar problem with the cold. I contacted the manufacturer, who of course said that this does not happen. hmph So remember that it works in moderate temperatures - otherwise avoid it. I assume you have to hit it with reverse temp to get in. Not easy to do from home.

I have bought about 10 of these boxes in the last 2 years. The ones I bought at the beginning worked perfectly. The last 3 didn't work. You lost the combination. effectively locks the key in the box and I can't get the key out and have to drill it open. The other was only a week or two so I was able to get a refund but this one is 5 weeks old. GRRRRRRRRR I think they've had quality control issues for the past few months.

Seems pretty solid although I haven't tried it with a hammer. Spacious enough inside to store a large car key. I haven't had to use it below freezing yet so I can't comment on that unfortunately.
