Review on πŸ”§ WireGear Universal Rear Sight Pusher Tool - Heavy-Duty Construction for Semi-Auto Pistol Slides by Shane Palma

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay don't call it generic

The description says it's not compatible with some of the most popular compact pistols on the market. In particular, if your slide is less than 7/8" tall and less than 3/4" wide, you risk the left side clamp adjustment banging against the base plate before you can securely clamp the slide into the tool. You can see this in one of the overview videos on Revain where the slide is barely fixed. This is an artifact of the one-sided clamp adjustment only, but it still seems like this could be compensated for with better left clamp or bottom plate design. However, I was able to get the job done by using the block as a spacer. for small slides. It's such a well-made tool that I'm wondering if there's an interesting backstory to why they came out with this design flaw. I think it could be a really versatile tool that can be used out of the box with a few tweaks in the design or with base plate adapter washers.
