Review on πŸ’ͺ Experience Advanced Health and Fitness Tracking with Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm Smartwatch - GPS, ECG Monitor, Sleep Cycles, Fall Detection, and Bluetooth - Black US Version by Aditya ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

I bought to replace Watch3, in which the battery completely died in 3 years. Despite many negative reviews, there were no problems with the software stuffing. WearOS, apparently, was finished, so everything was immediately connected, ated (phone - Samsung S21 Ultra), all notifications come, the connection does not break, etc. Control is almost the same as in Tizen, again, no discomfort. Yes, for some reason the buttons were swapped, but this is nonsense. Now for the bad. Only the lazy did not notice the terrible strap. It looks cheap, does not fit such a watch at all, and it is not easy to change it - for some reason they changed the distance between the lugs. Watch3 had 22 mm, and Watch4 - theoretically 20 mm, but in fact - about 19. Accordingly, no metal bracelets fit 20 mm there, and I will have to throw out the chic bracelet from Watch3. The only solution is special adapters, which are ordered for a penny on AliExpress. The long charging time is also not encouraging - almost 3 hours from 10 to 100%. True, unlike Watch3, these are charged from a single wireless charger along with the phone. But there are no particular questions about the expense, two days are pulled. Biometric sensors have a life of their own. If in Watch3 the pulse sensor simply fell off, then here it shamelessly lies, overestimating the pulse by 20-40 beats (there is a suspicion that the light hits the sensor again due to an unsuccessful strap, the back wall does not fit well to the arm). There is no need to talk about the ECG and pressure. It was disappointing that the bezel became "bald" and looks much worse than on Watch3. But sits tighter and works clearer. And it turned out that under WearOS there are very few interesting watch faces. I'm used to the information-rich face, but there's nothing like it under WearOS. In addition, paid dials are now impossible to pay. We'll have to wait for new ones.

Pros
  • Despite concerns, WearOS works without glitches, and the battery lasts a couple of days. The case is durable, the glass is protected by the bezel.
Cons
  • Terrible strap. Biometric sensors lie godlessly. The "bald" bezel looks worse than on the Watch3.
