Review on πŸ’ͺ Experience Advanced Health and Fitness Tracking with Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 42mm Smartwatch - GPS, ECG Monitor, Sleep Cycles, Fall Detection, and Bluetooth - Black US Version by Iori Yagami ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

When first turned on, the watch was synchronized with the smartphone; Samsung Pay has imported all cards; so that they only had to be activated for this watch. The firmware ate has arrived. After the ate, the cards of the payment service did not fly off (well, this moment is already pleasing; with Gear 3, I relinked the cards from scratch every time for the first 3 ates ─ more fun!). The customization of the dials is much richer than that of Tizen (but here, apparently, the matter is in the developers). First of all, having finished with synchronization, I armed myself with a "clothespin" to determine the pulse and oxygen in the blood. Compared the figures with the clock. The difference is about 1-3 units. Measured several times; testimonials are true! As for Blood Pressure and ECG, these 2 functions only work with Samsung smartphones. I have a Samsung smartphone; there are no problems here. But, frankly, in vain the company did not leave the opportunity for owners of third-party smartphones to use the full functionality; sales would be higher; competitors do not have BP! Apple's bad example is contagious. He adjusted the watch together with the tonometer ─ strictly according to the manual. I compared readings with a tonometer several times during the day; the difference is +/- 5 - 10 units. Quite worthy. I am hypertensive, and knowing about the increase in blood pressure is vital for me. BP and ECG measurement are the 2 features that prompted me to replace Gear3 with Watch4. About the ECG: you still get the full picture only when using a full-fledged device; but the watch will be able to indicate the presence of an arrhythmia, ─ and this is very important. About autonomy. I have been wearing it for a day since the last charge; slept in them. At the time of sleep, switched to the "Do Not Disturb" mode; so that the screen does not light up at night unnecessarily. Turned off WiFi and GPS. I do not always use WiFi, in GPS ─ there is no special need either; Watches without GPS cope with counting steps. A day later, 70% of the charge remained. I can’t say what will happen next, but so far the watch’s appetites do not seem supernatural to me (I will add a review on this topic later).

Pros
  • 1. Stylish classic look; 2. The watch is light; 3. The bezel does not feel flimsy; it seems to be quite normal for Gear 3, but there are sensations. Here the bezel is like a glove; 4. A bunch of sensors. A whole bunch of opportunities to assess the state of health; ECG, BP, blood oxygen levels, stress levels, body composition; step counter; a bunch of workouts 5. Microphone, speaker, WiFi, GPS, Samsung Pay ─ all this is already a classic in Samsung watches (you can allegedly screw on Google Pay, but I am more than satisfied with the Samsung payment service!); 6. Operation and responsiveness of the interface. I read somewhere that they allegedly slow down; just let the clock load to the end. After a full download, there are no problems at all. I wear a day, slept with them, the interface flies; 7. Measurement of pressure and ECG ─ this is what I was missing!
Cons
  • 1. Design in comparison with Gear 3 loses. 2. The choice of interesting watch faces in GooglePlay is less than in Tizen; those that are interesting, for money. Maybe, over time, the developers will add more, but so far so; 3. Poor kit; Includes one silicone strap. It would be possible to add and leather; Watches are not cheap! I love leather straps. He wore his Gear 3 with a complete leather one. 4. Numeric keypad ─ sucks! On Tizen there was a circle ─ a miracle, what a claudia! Everything is small here; extremely inconvenient! 5. Changed the functionality of the buttons for the heck had to transfer Power to the top, and Pay─ to the bottom? Why didn't you like the old position? Of course, you get used to it, but why change it?

With its pros. A little more than 2 days in my mode, better than expected. It's cool to take a picture remotely from the clock - the picture is broadcast) Cons: I didn't find the perfect watch face :(

Got pros: The strap is very good, the hand does not fail. the functionality is cool, for the first time such a watch and I'm satisfied. Its cons: You need to charge every day or go into economy mode. On a weekend trip or a power bank or a mechanical watch.
