Review on Dayco 89342 Automatic Tensioner Assembly by Rodney Harris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You have chosen the wrong brand, the right spare part.

My package arrived at the estimated time. The tensioner packaging was labeled Dayco tensioner with all relevant model part numbers printed on the box. After inspecting the product myself, I found that it was not the Dayco tensioner I ordered, but a different brand called INA, even though it was the same replacement model for my car. Judging by the look of the packaging, the Dayco model is made in Germany. The INA version is made in Slovakia with embossing on the tensioner. I live in Australia so it was not possible to return the item as I needed to replace my old tensioner asap. Part of the INA works, so no major complaints, although there could be a major problem otherwise. I took photos in case verification is needed. This is the first time this has happened to any item I have purchased from Revain.
