Review on EternaBond RoofSeal Gray 2&#34 by Derek Wagner

It's forever - what's not to like?

I am renovating my mobile home this summer due to severe water damage. I may be overdoing it with Eternabond, but there's something so reassuring about how securely this tape sticks to fiberglass, painted surfaces, and rubber. Very easy to use - it's quite stiff so it's easy to control and position, it doesn't fall on itself like most bands because it's stiff enough not to... I want it. I wasn't sure if I should go for 2" or 4" but decided on 2". If it needed to be wider I put the second strip down. Removability assessment: well, quite as easy to remove - Thank goodness! The backing comes off easily though if you heat it with a hair dryer. It leaves behind a lot of adhesive that isn't easy to remove. But if you're just replacing it, the Eternabond folks say, just put a new one in Layer on top of the glue that's left because they fuse together. This worked for me.I've seen people having trouble sticking eternabond to the surface and it confused me: I wonder if they really have the Have you removed the very thin and difficult to see membrane covering the adhesive and then unfold the tape? ? In my experience the Eternabond is very difficult to remove afterwards, even just laying it on the surface without a hair dryer. Or did people not clean the surface enough (with denatured alcohol) and it was covered with sealant or something else? Highly recommended!
