L-Gluamine certainly has many benefits and many studies support its use. Helps with various metabolic reactions, builds muscle, restores gut health, restores movement, etc. My doctor first prescribed L-Glutamine for chelation about 10 years ago. If you suffer from a disease (chronic fatigue, arthritis, psoriasis, eczema, inflammatory response, immune disorder, metabolic disorder, etc.) caused by heavy metal toxicity (usually aluminum or mercury based injections) then this can be an important part of it chelation. Unfortunately, licorice is contraindicated by medications and can mess up hormones even more, and the vast majority of L-Glutamine brands add licorice. But this one isn't! So I was happy to find it. However, one tablet is equivalent to 500 mg and chelation requires at least 10 grams per day (20 tablets). They only wash off for 2 or 3 days so it's not that bad. But this dosage is really for sports recovery, not why my doctor advised me. However, it is a fairly high quality ingredient in a bioavailable form. This is not a vegan or kosher product. This company also has several other interesting supplements (including other amino acids) that can be used for muscle recovery and metabolic health if you're trying to lose weight or gain muscle.
