The order of the switching modes is strange - when you turn it on there is a "high" vibration. Then if you press the power button once, it goes to "Medium" and back to "Low" (and after that it goes through 7 different on-off patterns with different durations). So if you want to switch from low to medium to high you have to 1) turn it on and double click (for low) 2) either turn it off and on again and then click once or click 7 patterns plus high (for medium) 3) toggle it off and on again or go through low and 7 patterns (for high) so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5; I have another that starts low, then goes to medium and then high, which seems much more logical to me. It has very strong vibrations but if you leave it in a room and close the door then walk a few feet away and you won't hear it. Comfortable grooves on the handle for better grip. The power button glows when it's on (see images), which I like, although it could be a little less bright. To turn it on and off, hold the button for a while at the end, and to cycle through the modes, press the button. Rechargeability is both good and bad: good, because if you don't have rechargeable batteries, you don't have them. constantly buying new ones; bad because you have to wait for it to charge instead of just changing the batteries. (I have one that uses 2 AAA batteries, and I use rechargeable ones, so I have both options. :D) It's pretty easy to slip the charger into the handle; You don't have to try so hard that it looks like it might break.
