Will rust. I wouldn't buy it.

11/21/22 updateafter just 3 months, discovered that the knife edges are rusting (just the edges). Jeez, spoke too soon. i wouldn't buy these again. The forks and spoons haven't rusted yet. Disappointed.8/12/22 1st reviewWell made utensils. As good as the Hampton Silverware set I bought from Macys 15 years agoFinally after 15 years and losing enough spoons, replacing / adding. Came in a nice box, all individually wrapped. I would say these are Heavy duty (not extra heavy like in hotels), but not light or medium duty at dollar store. The mirror polish is super nice, and the edges are smooth, so basically paid 20 dollars for 40 pieces. I probably paid as much 15 years ago with my hampton set from Macys and these are just as good. I didn't go with 18/10 and wanted to try an 18/0. Now, I don't have anything to measure Pounds/sqft of bend strength, but I can tell you 18/0 HD doesn't bend easily. I threw it in the wash twice and left it in overnight, didn't rust. I live in a fairly hard water city 300+ ppm hardness. So it's a great purchase, and these are so cheap, casual, no design, easily replaceable, i'm no longer afraid of losing a few.

Pros
  • Love how heavy they are
Cons
  • The wide handles may make it difficult for individuals with smaller hands to hold and manipulate the utensils properly
