Yes. Well worth it.: Air Intake

At the time of writing, the air intake has been installed on my daily driver for a month. As long as I like it The product arrived very well packaged. Nothing was damaged and there was no styrofoam or anything that couldn't be recycled. Very good. Except for the hardware, everything was fairly well labeled. Looking at the diagram it was obvious what went where, but the first time I used the wrong length screws I had to disassemble them. **PLEASE NOTE** that the screws are available in two lengths. Use the short ones to assemble the body and don't be a fool like me. The hoses were a bit longer, as were the seals. Assembly was pretty easy. The hardest part was understanding what is shown in the pictures on the chart. The print quality was pretty bad. YouTube videos helped fill in the gaps. The screw that attaches the top cover to the heat shield didn't match mine, but I think my subframe is slightly bent. Everything else went pretty smoothly. Again, pay attention to the length of the screw and you should be fine. The sound from this thing is amazing! There is a nice audible hiss under acceleration and the sound of the air recirculation valve is very present. It is very similar to the sound of a vent valve and is very audible with the windows down. In the cabin, the noise is very noticeable when the radio is turned off. I have a large audio pack and at volume 4 the stereo and intake noise are about the same. At volume 8, the intake is audible, but barely. At the 12th volume, the intake noise is completely blocked. In terms of performance, throttle response is slightly better, but in everyday driving there's little difference. However, spirited driving is very noticeable. I've noticed that when the turbo kicks in now, it's much more sudden. I measured my 0-60 with TC off 3 times before installing the intake with torque app and OBD reader and 3 times after: Run 2: 7.955 Run 3: 7.983 Looks like I got this thing a little more given power. I also measured the temperature at the inlet before and after. The ambient temperature was 76F on both days. When the engine was warm, the initial intake temperature for both was around 95 degrees. As the engine warmed up from running, the factory temp rose to 102 and the K&N to 106. The difference isn't huge, but it definitely doesn't draw cold air. Overall I am very impressed with this product. The sound alone is worth it, and the powerful punch is just a nice bonus.
