Maybe if you only need to use the power or volume buttons

I think it depends on what you need the remote for. Like many others, I wanted to use it to control smart TV functions, but the navigation bar (the part you use to control all the smart functions, move the cursor around the screen, etc.) was almost completely unusable. . This area of the remote is completely useless and appears to be covered in aluminum foil. If you primarily use another remote to control your Roku/Fire Stick/etc. to control and only need the remote for power on/off or volume control, this might be ok for the money.
