Review on ๐Ÿ›ผ F5S Eclipse Pro Inline Freeskates by Flying Eagle by Pete Door

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Tight at first, great support

These skates are great! My first pair of freeride skates and I love them! They were tight for the first few days/excursions with a slight tightening in the toes and some chafing in the ankle. I almost regretted my sizing (using the Flying Eagle sizing chart) and started looking for a size up, but there wasn't much in stock (I ordered 40 and was looking for 41). But after wearing them for the first week, the boot opened perfectly. The toes are narrow, anyone with a wide foot will probably want to at least get bigger, but my big toes don't fit well at all. I do feel a little tightness in my toes after a long ride (+7 miles or so), but nothing unusual or unfamiliar from several other brands of skates (Rollerblade, Roces). The frames are solid and not too high, and the wheels have good internal and external stiffness, good control and damping. My next set of wheels will be a bit more difficult as I ride a lot outdoors and on pavements and after over a month (almost 2) riding 3 times a week I'm seeing quite a bit of wear (but that's to be expected). . Bearings are smooth and consistent, and have removable screens for cleaning and re-lubrication if you decide to go that route. For the price and quality they are more than satisfactory, I am very happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
