This is a box with a lock. It works out. But I have questions. Many questions. First a brief description of the product: - This key cabinet comes with 40 compartments. These shelves are color coded. These color-coded shelves have numbers above each rung that you can hang a key on - 10 keys per shelf, up to 400. Makes sense. key for. It makes sense. Key Fobs (400) come in Blue, Red, Black, Yellow, and Green (in that order) so your keys will be the right color to hang on the shelf. It makes sense. The colored key fobs are numbered from 1 to 400 and the numbered key fobs correspond to their color code on the counter. It makes sense. if it were true Key fobs are empty. The only logical thing that would ever be written on these keychains are the numbers 1 through 400. I can't think of anything in the world that could ever be written on these keychains other than the numbers 1 through 400. But they are blank. No problem, just write the number on the paper on the label, right? Surprise! A small plastic protector prevents your pen from reaching the paper. Well, just take the paper off the keychain so you can tag the keychain later, right? To do this you need to remove the key ring attached to the fob, remove the piece of plastic from the slot at the bottom of the fob and finally remove a small piece of paper and write the number that should be there right now in the first place. You take these 400 (FOUR HUNDRED) pre-assembled key fobs, take them apart (ALL FOUR HUNDRED) and write the only thing that should be written on them - a number from 1 to 400. My questions: - Why can't you just write the keys with numbers from 1 to label 400? - Why bother collecting all those keyrings when you know you have to take them apart to get to the tiny piece of paper inside? - Why is there an ideal number of color keychains for every color except green? I'm literally missing 1 green tag. Thank goodness I had 1 blue extra but now I have a blue key fob on my green counter and am very concerned about it. - HOW LITERALLY NO ONE SUGGESTED NUMBERING THE KEY RINGS WHEN USING THE COLOR NUMERIC SYSTEM IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE ENTIRE LOCK BOX?! The shelves are colored and numbered, the log list is numbered, the labels are colored BUT THEY ARE NOT NUMBERED. Is this real life? - Why did I spend 8 hours numbering keychains? In general a good product. At the same time LIKE THIS THING.
