Review on Authentic Kaimei Sumi Ink 180 Ml - Premium Japanese Import for Artists and Calligraphers by Dawn Fischer

Opaque quick drying 6 oz non-waterproof good for calligraphy

Interesting permanent ink. I've searched the internet for inks specifically used for calligraphy and have found many recommended ones. It's a thicker ink, and by that I mean it doesn't run off the pen so quickly that you have to keep dipping it. as I should do with the thinner fountain pen ink. It is also very opaque and dries fairly quickly. If I spend too much time idling, it dries out on the pen and I have to dip it again. I didn't have to dilute it to make it usable, which is a good thing. The problem with thick (sticky?) is that it's harder to remove the pin when it's time to clean. You can't just rinse it off with water and say it's done. He loves to cling. I think it's because it's probably made of soot. It comes in a black opaque L-shaped plastic bottle. This injects the required amount of ink into the reservoir so that it does not dry out with the rest in the bottle. This is a small hole so you can easily control the amount. I use small containers with airtight lids to pour ink. Moon Palace works very well on a variety of papers and has not bled to date. I've used it on HP Premium Choice printer paper (particularly for copperplate work), Strathmore mixed media paper, and vellum paper. With a large enough amount (6 ounces), you shouldn't feel stingy when using it. I understand why people recommend it for practice. In fact, the only downside is that you have to be careful to keep your feathers clean.
