Great and cheap mascara!

This is a really great item! Cheap, very dark, dries quickly. At first I wasn't sure when the ink dripped onto the tip of my pen, but it actually wrote beautifully. The ink has a very strong earthy smell. Sumi ink is made from carbon from burning pine trees, so that's to be expected. Also remember that such sumi ink must be diluted with water. While you can use it straight from the bottle, adding water improves flow and dries faster. Also beware of others using dip pens, sumi ink will corrode…

Not waterproof Good for drawing

Wanted to try other types of ink besides Speedball and Higgins. It does have a slight odor but that's not too bad, it smells like plant soot (which isn't surprising) but the smell is a bit stronger than I expected (much weaker than felt tip pens and not as toxic). smells too) I've used it in washes and with my pens and it worked really well! Tekla so smoothly. Although it's not waterproof. I'm a watercolor artist and decided to give it a try and see how well it works with water after it dries…

Great for my beginner calligraphy!

I've spent the last few months talking to Dr. F. Martin's ink to use for calligraphy. After switching to this one - the difference is HUGE! I usually had to dip the pen into each line about 3-4 times because of the (thickness/quick drying?) ink and wipe the pen thoroughly after each line. With this sumi ink, I can finish almost an entire line without re-dipping, and I don't have to wipe the pen after each line. I understand that Indian ink and sumi ink are apples for oranges, but for practicing

BIG hassle-free ink for dip or parallel pen calligraphy!

This is my fourth bottle of Moon Palace ink. I fill my small container straight from the copperplate calligraphy bottle, although I occasionally add a few drops of water if it thickens a bit when it's sitting open. It's a smooth, very black ink that writes beautifully with a pen. It doesn't destroy nibs like inks that contain a lot of shellac and washes off easily with water. This ink has a great consistency and sticks so well to my sharp points that I don't even have to add gum arabic. It has…

Opaque quick drying 6 oz non-waterproof good for calligraphy

Interesting permanent ink. I've searched the internet for inks specifically used for calligraphy and have found many recommended ones. It's a thicker ink, and by that I mean it doesn't run off the pen so quickly that you have to keep dipping it. as I should do with the thinner fountain pen ink. It is also very opaque and dries fairly quickly. If I spend too much time idling, it dries out on the pen and I have to dip it again. I didn't have to dilute it to make it usable, which is a good thing…

I love this stuff!: Ink

I'm new to pen calligraphy and started with a jar of ink. It seemed to work well enough, but it was a bit thick and could probably benefit from thinning. I bought this Kaimei sumi ink after seeing many people recommend sumi ink for beginner calligraphers. The difference is like day and night. The Kaimei Sumi ink bleeds easily from the pen and I feel like I can write twice as long without dipping again. Also, the pen is much easier to strip than ink. I've been frustrated trying to learn and…
