Review on Authentic Kaimei Sumi Ink 180 Ml - Premium Japanese Import for Artists and Calligraphers by Ruby Thomas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not waterproof Good for drawing

Wanted to try other types of ink besides Speedball and Higgins. It does have a slight odor but that's not too bad, it smells like plant soot (which isn't surprising) but the smell is a bit stronger than I expected (much weaker than felt tip pens and not as toxic). smells too) I've used it in washes and with my pens and it worked really well! Tekla so smoothly. Although it's not waterproof. I'm a watercolor artist and decided to give it a try and see how well it works with water after it dries but it reactivated and smeared. It's ok, I can use it for other types of work! I really love it too much to be able to afford it at the same time. I can add it to my watercolor paintings after the painting is almost done, or use it alone for ink work. I use white ceramic ink reservoir and only cleaned it after a week and it cleaned up easily without leaving any stains! (although I don't know how well it does laundry)

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
