Great Upgrade for Trail and Road Bike Carbon Handlebars

Race Face Product Review Next If you're looking for a pair of inexpensive yet durable carbon handlebars, the following Race Face risers are always top of the list. my list. I could go with OEM Bontrager, Thompson etc but they are overpriced in my opinion compared to what you get from Race Face. Also, these villains come in nice colors, but not gaudy colors to match the bikes. Oh, and don't forget those cool racing face stickers they always put on your fridge, truck, or in my case, my son's Strider. Regarding the backstory - I have two of these kits, one on a 2016 Trek Procaliber Carbon XC Hardtail and the other on a Road/Fitness Carbon Specialized Sirrus (a flat bar used for towing kids). Trek XC: The bike came with aluminum handlebars, which I found too narrow and didn't absorb chatter very well either. With a slight increase in the RaceFace price, additional weight savings, and an option to crop, I thought they would be a great upgrade. I tend to ride them hard and love running at breakneck speeds on trails and fire roads, and race face bars hold up great. Also, I find they help with some of the ultra high frequency vibrations you get on rutted dirt roads and gravel trails. rigid front fork. They really absorb road shock while saving a few pounds in the process. I prefer riser bars as I find them more comfortable in my hands in terms of natural grip, but they also offer up and down flex based on bar geometry. Bicycle. As for both of my bikes, I'm getting older and I can't sit in some crazy aero position, so they give my back the relief I need. Now anyone can argue that you get the same benefits with other brands, but Race Face Next bars offer carbon performance at a price close to aluminum. Sure, there are lighter, brighter bars out there, but they just work and don't look too crazy, especially for the mountain bike-oriented crowd. Overall, I choose them for any inexpensive upgrade to carbon handlebars. Pros/Cons+ Great/affordable price+ Fairly light, especially for a carbon+. They are available in a variety of lengths and can be easily cut to size using the guides provided. A typical length of 725 should be enough for most and is easier to cut with tape and a hacksaw (cut mine down to 715) + Absorbs bumps and rattles on the road/trail well + Not too noticeable so used on level ground can become. Bar racing bikes as well as trail bikes. The color palette and brightness are very limited, they may not be cool enough or fashionable enough for some people. I wish they had better guides near the handlebar section, especially on my non-round ergonomic grips - the small dot pattern makes it impossible to align the grips to the same vertical/horizontal alignment
