Works well but be aware of the amperage your device draws. I tried using it with my HMD Vive Pro and it worked for a while, but the converter got very hot and would periodically shut down under these conditions. As it turned out, the HMD was drawing nearly twice its rated current, which is a dangerous situation. All converters like this one that convert 5V to 12V are designed for a 5V, 2A input. This is a common input from standard USB ports. This equates to 12V, 0.833A by the conversational equation. This is normal for low-powered devices, but the HMD I used it on draws 1.5A. If you're looking for a higher-powered solution like the Vive Pro HMD, I recommend an external battery like the Anker PowerCore II 20000.
