This NAS was a pioneer for me. I combined it with two WD Reds for 3TB - it turned out pretty brutally, and there was nothing to score :) A very worthy machine came out, always ready to serve my multimedia and just cloudy interests) The basic 2 gigs of RAM is enough to turn around and experiment in full, collect different applications, and even install everything through Docker. Regarding the noise - for me it was a very important question, so I will answer: the NAS itself is quiet, the volume level depends more on the hard drives. With my WD Red, it is almost completely inaudible, although I turn it off at night to increase the quality of sleep (this can be easily automated), but in general it is completely optional, this is already nit-picking.
