Can't keep them where I put them! The wind keeps pushing them back at over 30-35 miles per hour. It's not like I have to drive down the freeway with no doors, but even at 40mph I'm fixing them and a minute later I'm looking in the mirror and I'm looking back at myself and not at the cars behind me. Tightening it would be possible, but I don't want to tear off the paint on the hinges - they already have enough problems with paint. The kit comes with a rubber gasket and I even reinforced the gaskets with washers, but the gaskets are flimsy and easily burst even with moderate tightening and still don't prevent the mirror from swaying in the wind. I think a stronger washer (something like a hose washer) will allow you to tighten it more while still protecting the paint and stopping it from moving. Otherwise it's good, decent optical quality in a mirror (not a cheap wavy plastic reflection).
